CCNV is the United States largest homeless shelter in the heart of Washington, D.C. We go there regularly to contribute "seva," or work to our local community. You can go to your homeless shelter or join us on our next trip, currently, May 24th, 2008.
They welcome your clean clothing, shoes, socks, new under garments, blankets, curtains, toiletries, e.g., toothpaste, tooth brushes, feminine articles. Currently, the D.C. shelter is in need of heavier drapes.
"Subway," was there donating sandwiches last time we were there. So, support your local subway store, they are busy supporting their communities across America.
