Mercury Retrograde (Rx) in Gemini 2008

Hey Everyone!
It’s that time again, three times a year, like planetary clockwork, Mercury goes retrograde. This time it goes retrograde at 21 degrees and 32 minutes of Gemini which here on the East Coast is in the 10th House (using Regiomantus which I use for Horary or Predictive Astrology as did most of the Ancients and not so Ancients such as Lilly). And, we have 26d of Leo on the Ascendant with trines to Mercury in Gem from the Moon at 18d of Aquarius and Neptune at 24d of Aquarius.
I think it will be a lovely lulu! I love Mercury retrogrades because what is ours comes back to us. As I write, Mercury is stationing retrograde (meaning it kind of stops in the sky from the perspective of our Mother Earth) before appearing to go backwards (retrograde) and a package I sent to California was returned to me with two lovely silk hand-painted scarves that I painted last winter, along with an oil painting of a sunset which is my son, Nicolas’s, favorite.
Already I am loving this. Now if everyone who owes me money pays me back, I can also have no debts, so, let’s rock on Mercury! Keep those checks and those karmic things I’m owed coming.
It’s also a terrific time to do anything involving our mental processes and “re.” So, we re-think, re-write, re-activate, re-energize, re-visualize. In my early days as an astrologer, I worried about this Mercury retrograde business. One day I went to see an old friend hoping to re-establish our connection and to do business “at some future time.” Well, he was ready to do business that day and offered me the largest financing deal I’d ever done personally. Inwardly, I groaned. Mercury had gone retrograde that morning. Well, I took the deal, not being in a position to turn away business. It was a very paperwork heavy, contract heavy deal full of legal documents to be signed for millions of dollars.
The deal stalled, it got reworked, we re-shaped it, his wife tried to send the business elsewhere, and on this went. Mercury went direct. Time passed, we continued to dally with the deal. Mercury went retrograde, the deal closed and I received the biggest check I’d ever personally gotten on a sales deal without help from a corporation. Five digits, I was not displeased, actually, I went and purchased the computer upon which I now write with my beautiful thin screen monitor which at the time was new on the market.
One of the things we can all anticipate with Mercury in Gemini going retrograde with those trines to the Moon and Neptune is that this will not be a lightweight retrograde. The truth will come out everywhere. Don’t bother trying to keep secrets now, it’s a complete waste of time. If you don’t want someone to know something, don’t do it. It’s that simple. Right now, all will come to the surface and Mercury in Gemini is no light feather duster … this is the powerhouse Thoth, with the underlying truth. Don’t shoot the messenger, it’s not his fault.
Live and breathe integrity and your investments, your love life, your personal and professional life will all come up smelling like roses. By June, there will be a whole new light of day.
And, I am not one who says, “don’t sign the deal with Mercury retrograde.” I say, do your “re-“ search, do your homework and then sign that deal! The stars support you. And, no, for those of you wondering, I was not born with a Mercury retrograde, mine is direct and conjunct Neptune and Jupiter (yeah, yeah, I know, a clairvoyant).
Finally, realize that when something does not work or goes sideways, it is trying to tell you something. If the computer stops, maybe you're not supposed to work on that right now. If the electricity flashes, maybe an Angel is trying to get your attention. If something comes back, it's yours. If something doesn't go out like an email or a document you're working on, stop and look at it, what needs still to be done better on it? Pay attention and don't rush ... or, if you're in a rush and something stops, then stop and pay attention, Divine may have a message for you.
So, don’t rush, but certainly don’t stop, and enjoy the sleuthing because right now you can find diamonds and gold in them thar hills!
